SALT C PROTOCOLS OR LYME TREATMENT
An Overview of Two Salt C Protocols

The theory behind salt and parasites is simple. Before refrigeration, we used to preserve our meat with salt. Therefore, we got a lot of sodium in our diets. (not Morton’s highly processed salt) It is believed that the sodium preservation method not only kept the meat free of parasites but also killed parasites that might be living in our bodies.  The idea behind these protocols is to take pure sodium chloride (pure unadulterated salt - not iodized table salt) in divided doses, either on food or in water throughout the day. Then drink lots of water to flush out the debris. The vitamin C is taken along with the salt to regenerate the tissues after the parasites are killed. This protocol must be continued for several months to two years depending upon how long you’ve had Lyme disease. There are billions of parasites in the body, all at varying stages of development. When they are in the cyst stage they can’t be killed. Thus, anything you do to rid yourself of parasites must be done for a long, long time.  Before starting a Salt C Protocol make sure you have detoxed heavy metals. This can be done is several ways. The one way I know that has worked for me is to take Pectasol by Bionutritionals. However this is done at a slow pace and must be done for at least 3 months.  I would think you could start a heavy metals protocol and then add in the Salt C protocol.

I read the entire book called “The Salt/C Plus protocol for Lyme infection” by M. Fett. Without giving away too many of his ideas without you purchasing his hard work I will just say he has you doing a slow start to the protocol and ramping it up slowly and using if from months to years.  A sample would be 1 pill three times a day 4 hours apart and then moving up to a total of 8 times a day 1 ½ hours a part.  Taking 1 gram of salt and C at each time.  This protocol uses 1 gram per 12-15 lbs of body weight.  I would just keep in mind maximum dosage is about 18 grams. One  “00”  veg capsule filled with clean organic salt equals 1 gram. I personally feel it is not the amount but rather the length of time on this protocol that makes it most effective.  Fett states the importance of detoxing and has several products he recommends.  Some of these include; DE or diatomaceous earth, french green clay, activated charcoal, and saunas, hot showers, hot baths or anything where you sweat.  It is recommended to take detox binders 2 hours away from any other supplements or salt/C.  Diet is also important.  When doing this protocol is best to eat mostly vegetables.  I currently restrict the 7 most inflammation foods; wheat/gluten, sugar, artificial sugar, eggs, dairy, soy, peanuts and corn.

It is best to make sure your doctor knows you are doing this protocol.  Five percent of people according to Klinghardt have a salt sensitivity and cannot do this protocol. You may not be ready for this and need to prep your body for this protocol.  (example removing heavy metals, addressing sinus and mouth issues. Removing cavitations, root canals, and silver fillings etc. What you are worried about is your blood pressure getting too high.

If you wish to start this protocol I highly recommend purchasing the book.  It is filled with amazing information and even has a quick start guide.  If you choose this protocol it is important to remember that this is not a race and to follow the instructions carefully.  I plan on being on this protocol for a year.  You cannot rush this protocol.  Buy the book “The Salt/C Plus Protocol for Lyme Infection” https://www.amazon.com/Salt-Plus-Protocol-Lyme-Infection/dp/1463575483

The second Salt C Protocol is from Dr. Klinghardt’s protocol for deworming and can be found http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/images/stories/Lyme_Disease/Lyme_protocol_Jan06.pdf   His salt C protocol is listed under “The Lyme ABC”

The Lyme ABC

A. We start with deworming our clients. We often use a simple yet aggressive seasalt/Vit C protocol which has an independent effect against the spirochetes also. The high salt concentration kills large parasites by osmotically induced dehydration (osmotic shock). High salt levels also increase the enzyme elastase which has a strong antimicrobial/anti- spirochete effect.
Protocol: 1.5 grams of sea salt per 20 lbs of body weight in 4 divided doses per day for 3 weeks. With each dose also give 1-4 gms of Vit C (dose has to be just below bowel tolerance). Three 3-6-week cycles with a 2 week break in-between. The blood pressure should be monitored and not elevate outside acceptable levels. Five percent of the population are salt sensitive and react with a significantly increased blood pressure. In the off weeks we give 1⁄2 tsp of sea salt in a glass of water first thing in the morning.

Lyme Borreliosis NutraMedix Treatment Protocol

Once you have treated and your body is free of toxins, yeast, mold, parasites, HPU, heavy metals and your mouth is in good order, it is time to start treating for Lyme. It is important to note that you may have more items to fix or less.  I listed only a few.

This protocol is probably more than 15 years old.  It was given to me by my first Lyme Doctor in California Dr. Holtorf.  Originally I felt this protocol was very hard to follow. But after many many protocols I find this one to be rather simple and inexpensive.  NutraMedix has a current Lyme protocol with 14 products.  https://www.nutramedix.ec/cowden I believe in NutraMedix.  products so I feel that any one of their protocols would be beneficial.  I use this protocol along with one other protocol. I also use the Salt C protocol by M Fett. By hitting Lyme from 2 different directions I feel I am hitting it hard. I will be discussing this protocol in my next blog post.

I have been using both protocols since Jan 4, 2020.  My original number when tested from Lyme by ART was 874.  Six weeks into the protocols my number dropped to 471.   I also passed my VCS eye test that tests for biotoxins.  I still have horrible joint pain in my fingers but I believe my protocols are moving me in the right direction.  These tests are proof.

Lyme Borreliosis NutraMedix Treatment Protocol

Start withCumanada 2 times a day before meals, preferably breakfast & supper.  Begin with 2 drops per day: 1 drop 30 minutes before one meal and 1 drop 30 minutes before another meal slowly building up to full dose of 20 drops two times per day (40 drops a day) Cumandais an anti-inflammatory, broad-spectrum antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiparasitic (protozoa & worms) herbal tincture; also effective against Borrelia burgdorferi, other Borrelia species & Lyme co-infections.

On the 2ndor 3rdweek add Quinato the protocol.  Begin with 2 drops per day- 1 drop 60 minutes before one meal & 1 drop 60 minutes before another meal slowly. Building up to a full dose of 20 drops two times per day (40 drops a day) Quina is one of a very few herbs that has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier. This is could be very helpful for those that are experiencing neurological & central nervous system symptoms. It is an antibiotic & has anti-inflammatory properties. Quinais the ingredient that is used to produce the prescription drug "Quinine", a drug used to treat Malaria

After full dose of each product is achieved begin alternating between the Cumanda & Quinaevery two weeks.  Take Cumandafor 12 ½ days stopping for 36 hours then, continue with the Quinafor 12 ½ days, stopping for 36 hours.   Mark the days on your calendar to keep track.

DiscontinueQuinaafter 2 months of full dosage. Begin using Samentoin place of Quina.

Continue to alternate between Cumanda & Samento for at least two to three months.  Most patients with chronic, third stage Lyme Disease require four to six months of treatment.  Samentois an immune-system modulator, anti-inflammatory, broad-spectrum, antibacterial herbal tincture effective against Borrelia burgdorferi & co-infections.  Make sure you buy TAO free Samento. TAO free indicates that a necessary alkaloid has been removed from the herb. This particular alkaloid greatly decreases the beneficial effects of Samento. (Nutramedix is a preferred brand) Banderol and Samento both are effective in killing the spirochetes in all their forms.

Burbur- take 8 drops immediately before each meal & at bedtime.  If feeling toxic, add an additional dosage after each meal. Burbur is an herbal tincture that aids detoxification of man-made toxins and biotoxins from the liver, kidneys, lymphatic system & interstitial space (the space between the cells).

Bromelain-Take 5 or 6 tablets or capsules twice daily (400-600mg) with Samento, Cumanda or Quina.  Bromelianis to help with pain and inflammation. I like Quericetin & Bromelian.

Chlorella-a detoxing agent, take 3 capsules twice daily with Samento, Cumanda or Quina.

Magnesium Malate- Take 2 to 6 capsules per day withSamento, Cumandaor Quina. Reduce dose if the bowels are too loose. Magnesium Malate a highly absorbable and utilizable form of magnesium, which helps to maintain normal cardiovascular, muscle, nerve, bone & other cellular functions.

Water-drink 3 quarts or liters of pure drinking water per day.

All Nutramedix liquid extracts should be taken at least 20 minutes apart from each other.  They should be mixed with 4 ounces (120ml) of pure drinking water, let sit for at least 60 seconds then drink.

I have Lyme Disease...Now What?

PicturePhoto from article from Dr. Klinghart http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/images/stories/powerpoints/treatinglyme%202010.pdf.

I have Lyme disease now what?

You might think the first thing you need is a super amazing doctor.  This is not always the case.  Personally I had some of the all-time best doctors and some of the all-time worse doctors.  I still suffered for 12 long years.  Lyme literate doctors are hard to find and often do not take insurance.  Often paying $500.00 for a first visit alone. During the first 12 years of my illness I spent over $150,000 in doctor visits, prescriptions, supplements and testing. Obviously money and the best doctors did not fix my Lyme disease alone.  In 12 years I should have been healed several times over.

Becoming your own advocate is by far the biggest thing you can do to beat Lyme.  That was a game changer for me.  I became my own advocate and gave myself permission to heal.  This is by far the very first step you should take. Emotional blocks should be addressed immediately.

I know you are feeling tired, sick and desperate.  You wonder how you can even read this article yet alone heal yourself.  I know that you can do this.  Deep within each of us is the ability to heal and grow. To prove my point this time I am going to beat Lyme without using a Lyme literate doctor and use only doctors that take my insurance. I did it once I know I can do it again!

I will be taking you on my wellness journey.  Because this is not my first time attacking Lyme I have already completed several steps in my wellness journey and I can go straight to treating Lyme.  If you have Lyme it is important to understand that treatment is not a race.  Baby steps moving forward until finally you are Lyme free.  In order for the treatment plan to work with lasting results, it is important to understand that there is a correct order; proceeding in that order is very important.

After a 12-year roller coaster ride of ups and downs and healing and setbacks, I became my own advocate and rolled up my sleeves and started researching.  I had a lot of trial and error but I continued to move forward.  About 2 years into my studies I found this article.  It was ironic because everything I had spent months and months learning was in this one article.  I think the tedious learning allowed me to see the importance of this one article.  I am sharing this with you as a starting point. If you open your mind, I believe you will also see lasting results.

http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/images/stories/powerpoints/treatinglyme%202010.pdf

Print out this article and keep it handy.  Read it and reread it.  Research. Try to grasp at least part of the article.  Lyme treatment is in steps so you really only need to understand the first part of this article.  Once you master the first steps you can move to the next pages.  I have included just a few of the first steps that Dr. Klinghardt feels is important prior to treating for Lyme.

Take note of the following points
  • Your diagnosis may actually be another health issue.
  • It is important to clear as many other health issues as possible first prior to treating Lyme.  It may be that you don’t have Lyme so treating for Lyme might be unnecessary.
  • Treating Lyme has an order. This gives your body a better ability to fight the disease & win.
·     Start living as clean as possible.  Follow top ten list from Dr. Klinghardt’s paper.
·     Address Dental health and mouth issues including heavy metal detox. Dr. Klinghardt won’t even see a patient until they have completed this step.  It is that important.  It is also a step most people will NOT do.

Understanding each level of the pyramid is important.  Think of it this way.  When you are attacking Lyme, your body should be performing at its highest level.  You will need your detox pathways and gut working smoothly.  If not when you take supplements you won’t be able to fully absorb the nutrients thus wasting your time and money.  Same goes for when you are finally killing the Lyme spirochete you will want your body to properly eliminate through the detox pathways.  Otherwise you will just get sicker.

It took me years to understand everything in this paper alone.  Not much has changed over the years when treating Lyme.  The pre-steps steps are often overlooked.  This is a perfect example of why I say you don’t need a Lyme literate doctor at first.  You can work most of this program by yourself or with the help of an understanding doctor.

It will be your decision whether you choose to use prescription antibiotics or herbal, tinctures or natural supplements. I am going to approach kicking Lyme this time by using only natural products.  I was on high dose antibiotics some costing as much as a 1,000 a month for 12 years.  What I did to my body was insane.  I don’t want to go that route this time.

Don’t feel overwhelmed.  You don’t just one day decide to run a marathon.  First you train, prep and buy the proper equipment.  Same goes for treating for Lyme Disease.
Over the next few weeks and months I will be giving you information to help you get ready for the fight.  I am here as a health coach but there is alot of support out there in the form of Facebook pages, groups, and doctors.  Be very careful not to be drawn into groups that will draw you into a never-ending drain of doom.  Find optimistic up lifting groups to positively move you forward. You can heal! It is possible to be totally well!

My website LymeWellnessDIY.com has an assessment you can take.  After the form is filled out, I follow up with a free consultation.  If you decide to be your own advocate and wish to allow me to help you on your journey we will discuss what works for you and work within your budget to get you healthy.

The above listed website has so much information but sometimes we can get confused.  I’m here to help you understand the process.  My future posts will be giving you a look at ways to heal.

Here we go to total wellness!  I’m fighting Lyme as we go!  I firmly believe I will regain my health and will rebound felling even better than ever.  You can also.

Could Negative Emotions & Trauma be Keeping You from Finding Total Wellness?

Letting go of negative emotions is necessary to completely heal from Lyme

The very very very veryfirst step in Healing Lyme is not starting Lyme protocol…It is not finding the best Lyme Literate Doctor, it is not hiring a team of wellness professionals…it is not crawling in a hole and hibernating.

THE VERY FIRST STEP IN HEALING………… IS GIVING YOURSELF PERMISSION TO HEAL AND BELIEVING IN YOUR HEART YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING HEALTHY!

Let me repeat and this time take a moment to let the concept sink in.

THE VERY FIRST STEP IN HEALING IS GIVING YOURSELF PERMISSION TO HEAL AND BELIEVING IN YOUR HEART YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING HEALTHY!

Read the following statements and when you believe you are deserving of health and wellness write your own thoughts down and sign it.  Date it and keep it somewhere you will see it often.  Remind yourself daily.

“I am a loving kind individual worthy of feeling healthy, happy and joy.”

“Good Health is my birthright.  I deserve to be healthy and pain free.”

“I am free to have health and wellness. I deserve it.”

“I love myself and will fight to be healthy and happy.”

“I release all negative energy that is keeping me from being the healthiest person I can.”

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is forgive yourself or others.   Negative thoughts are often the roadblock that keeps you from reaching your wellness goals.

Personally I realized that the day I became my own advocate and gave myself permission to heal is the day my life took a major change for the better.  My story is this.  I always wanted to be the best mom ever.  Instead of being that wonderful mom, my life consisted of full time doctor’s appointments and Lyme rage.  I was in so much pain and confusion I couldn’t be the mom I wanted to be.  I held onto that and somehow felt it was my fault. The day I let go of that guilt and realized that I did nothing wrong that I was a victim,  I released negativity and allowed positive energy to flow in its place.  Emotions play a big part of healing.  Try googling emotions and health roadblocks.  It is important that you understand how much emotions plays in the healing process.

Start the process today! Take steps with a professional or by simply letting go of negative baggage that is keeping you from being healthy!

Please post your positive thoughts in the comments.

WHEN LYME RETURNS YOU CAN HIDE OR GET IN THE FIGHT

Picture

THIS IS ME FIGHTING LYME.  I AM 100% IN!!!!

01/02/2020. The day I realized my Lyme disease came back.  Long story short.  I had Lyme for 12 years. Lived a roller coaster life from Hell.  Got better, got sicker, got better until finally  I became my own advocate.  I educated myself which resulted in being completely healed.  I lived Lyme free for 6 years.

Why did it come back? Well funny story.  I am proactive when it comes to my health.  I maintain a healthy routine.  It has become a way of life.  I know that if I ever get into a weakened enough state Lyme could reappear. I firmly believe that if your body is strong enough Lyme will not have the strength to reoccur.

This way of thinking worked for 6 years.  I had several health issues and Lyme did not come back.  I even survived a divorce of 25 years.  Most recent, I had an 18 month battle with TMJ.  I saw many specialists and finally found my cure.  What I realized is that my bite was off and until I fixed my bite my TMJ would never really be corrected.  A mouth guard could keep the TMJ in check but the underlying cause would not be addressed. I moved forward to correct my bit to ultimately keep my body in the best shape I could.

I heard that little voice in my head saying “Candace the shifting of your teeth and the major pain you are feeling can’t be good”.   I even voiced this question to my Dentist when I asked, “Do you think the shifting of my teeth could bring back my Lyme?”  He hesitated. He hesitated.  I should have known then and started proactive measures but I had gotten complaisant.  I thought my body was tough enough and I was fine.  After all, I had been Lyme free for six years.

Boy was I wrong!  Let’s skip forward 5 weeks.  I’m adjusting and working my plan.  I have not gotten any worse and my Lyme is in check.  I am reversing my symptoms and working several protocols that I know work well for me.  I was quick to diagnose my Lyme so it did not have a long time to take hold. My best guess is that it was active for only about 6 weeks when I discovered it.

This is a hard post to write.  I want everyone to know that Lyme returning did not break me.  I am as strong as I was before and I know I will beat this yet again.  I will be posting to help everyone know that you can beat Lyme. There is a step by step unique process that is individual for everyone.  I can help you understand your own body and how you can take steps to become your own advocate.

I am not defined by my Lyme disease and I am prepared to do battle and kick this disease yet again.  Unfortunately, I just heard from my dentist and I have another 31 trays to complete with my Invisalign.  My original treatment plan consisted of 28 trays.  So not only did I waste 28 weeks of my life and shift my teeth which resulted in my Lyme returning, I now have to continue with 31 more trays while treating for Lyme.  Bring it on! I got this!
