I am always reading and learning and listening. Always I hear desperate pleas of people who are definitely overwhelmed by this disease. Here is a recent response. Personally I spent over $150,000 during my first 8 years of my treatment. Doctors got me well but I lived a nightmare with high dose antibiotics IV's etc etc etc. The problem was it kept coming back because I never treated the entire body. At various points I had 7 different specialists on my payroll. So 5 years ago I decided to kick butt and get better on my own! I started learning and educating and self treating. I said to myself. “Well I can't get any worse and what I was doing was not working so get to it.” So I believe you get better when you have a positive attitude and believe in your body ability to heal and when you learn and understand each part of the puzzle. Your puzzle pieces will be different than mine. I researched and wrote an actual book that I worked on with the help of a few great doctors. The funny part was that after many years of research I found this one article that basically explains everything I had spent 4 years studying, learning and writing about! I share this article with you so you can fast track your healing! http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/.../treatinglyme%202010.pdf (I give you this reference to use as a stepping stone. This article is very old. There is good information in it but a lot is outdated and some of it is not even available anymore.) Do not be intimidated by this article. I understand it completely now. I did not when I first read it. But after 4 years I got it! I am now a wellness coach and I help individuals with Lyme disease do just what I am telling you. Be educated. I learned one thing. You can order any test you need by yourself. Some states do not allow this however so you must know what your state allows. I firmly believe in surrounding yourself with great doctors! However if that is impossible for financial reasons or simply you just can't find one know you can take control of you health and get better! Holistic treatments can actually be better for you body then antibiotics. Some believe, including me that antibiotics may be necessary but are the only answer. Holistic options can be much easier on the body. You need to treat the whole body. Starting with the gut is what I am hearing so much about and feel is very important. The most important thing is to do it slowly and NOT to cause herx reactions. This is a new concept and one I am just learning to value. You want to let the body heal slowly. There is a healthy gut summit you can buy and listen to that has 35 speakers/experts to help you learn. Start with the gut and slowly move on. When you treat the gut you will probably address parasites, and deal with yeast and viruses. Then when you take a supplement or a mineral or use any protocol you will be feeding and supporting your body NOT the parasites/pathogens. Now that makes perfect sense right. Your body is made up of 10% you and 90% microorganisms. You want to get those microorganisms working for you and not for the pathogens. Baby steps. With each step you will feel better and stronger. Klinghardt uses high doses of chlorella. (if your body can handle it) Binders are big in his protocol. However you must educate yourself so you do not remove minerals when you bind. Klinghardt also says every human being on the planet needs to replace minerals. We are all low in minerals. But again this is individual to you and should be addressed slowly if at all. Don't get overwhelmed. You will not be able to learn all of this overnight and new information is daily coming to light. Take one thing and become an expert. Start with the gut and go from there.
This is my go to article. If you do not understand it take you time. Pace not the race is important.Dr Klinghardt still uses some of this information like his 5 levels of healing and his 7 factors that can lead to chronic illness. Be aware this article has outdated information but is still a great tool. . http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/images/stories/powerpoints/treatinglyme%202010.pdf
